How much does a wedding magician cost?
Most UK wedding magicians charge between £395 and £795 for a wedding. Packages on this site start at £495, which typically covers two to three hours of close-up magic during your drinks reception and wedding breakfast. Price varies with travel, how long you need and how many guests are attending.
What does a wedding magician actually do?
A wedding magician performs close-up magic for small groups of guests, moving between them rather than performing on a stage. It works best during the gaps in your day - drinks reception, photographs and the wait between the wedding breakfast and the evening reception - when guests would otherwise be standing around.
When during the day should the magician perform?
The drinks reception is the most popular slot, because it is the longest stretch where guests have nothing scheduled. The second most popular is table magic during the wedding breakfast, between courses. Many couples book both.
How far in advance should we book?
Popular dates in summer go twelve to eighteen months ahead. That said, magicians are often available at shorter notice than bands or photographers, so it is always worth asking even if your date is close.
